"Hi! My name is Maryann. I love rope skipping with my best friend Esther during break time at school. My favorite meal is pilau, which we enjoy eating at school. I also love my school because our teachers care for us and support us as we learn.
When I grow up, I want to become an accountant.Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and for considering being part of my journey."
Maryann is jovial, friendly, and bright. She enjoys studying Mathematics and looks forward to coming to school every day. Maryann has two younger siblings: Marvel (12 years old) and Alichia (8 months old).
Recently, her parents separated, and she now lives with her mother and siblings in a small one-room house in Dandora Phase V. Sadly, her father does not support the family. Maryann’s mother works hard to provide for her children. She washes clothes for other people whenever she finds the opportunity. However, these opportunities are not always available, and sometimes she goes for long periods without getting work. As a result, the income she earns is very little and unreliable, making it difficult to meet the family’s needs.
Despite these challenges, Maryann’s mother is very grateful and happy that her daughter has the opportunity to attend Kinyago Dandora Schools, where she can learn, grow, and build a brighter future in a safe and supportive environment. My name is MaryAnn. I live with my family in a single roomed concrete house. My mother does laundry for people to earn a living.

In a country where the population is more than 50 million, Kenya has faced significant hurdles, including epidemics like malaria, cholera, AIDS, and the impact of a devastating East African drought leading to widespread starvation.
