Missions Trip

In Swahili the word safari means “journey.” We invite you to take a very special journey where you will experience African life up close and personal. Peer into the eyes of African children who are far wealthier in spirit than many Westerners. Kenya Children’s Fund will help you see Africa and your life “Through the Eyes of a Child.” Journey deep into your own heart and ask, “What can I do to make a difference?”

The following Missions Trips are available to serve:

  • Educators for Educators Team:  Teachers travel to KDS and KDSS to establish a partnership to provide the staff with innovative teaching strategies and practical implementation in the classroom.  Teachers motivated to serve in this way need to travel to Africa equipped with creativity, flexibility, and an attitude of team-work to serve the dedicated teachers of KDS.  The focus will be on methods over materials and providing tools for the teachers to help themselves independent of Western influence.  During these trips, we strive to develop a working relationship with the teachers in order to better serve them then and in the future.  With open minds and open hearts, teachers will do His will as the hands and feet of Africa.
  •  Construction Team
  •  Medical Team

We will visit the Kinyago-Dandora Primary and Secondary Schools and engage the students and teachers in various classroom activities along with opportunities to interact with local community leaders.

The purpose of your visit is to witness the difference Kenya Children’s Fund is making in the lives of impoverished children living in Kinyago-Dandora and to partner with us in a significant way to advance the ministry.

You will be forever changed as you build friendships, encourage the African church and learn to be a “voice for the voiceless”. For more information, please contact Kenya Children's Fund.
