Giving glory to God, we can report that we are in a healthy financial situation thanks to the support of so many faithful donors. We are overflowing with gratefulness on behalf of these precious children!
It is exciting to see the ministry growing. This means the resources needed to keep all the programs running in Kenya is also increasing. In 2011, program expenses were $454,995. In 2012, they totaled $576,462. Now in 2013, we anticipate sending more than $600,000 to support the Lord's work at the Kinyago-Dandora Schools (KDS). Praise God for His blessings! As the needs have grown, so have our donor base and the generosity of each of you. We trust God will continue to provide as we continue to grow.
At Kenya Children's Fund we are always working hard to ensure each dollar given is directed where it is intended. There are no administrative fees taken out of sponsorship payments, care basket donations, capital or gifts to your child. Funds are raised separately to underwrite the costs for general operations.
Each year our accounting firm, Blanski, Peter, Kronlage & Zoch conducts an annual review and files our 990 tax return. We are pleased to report that once again 84% of our total expenses were used directly for KDS programs. 9.5% went to administrative costs and 6.5% for fundraising.
